Although I was born in Jasper, Texas, I grew up in Northern California. As an artist, I am mostly self-taught. Although I was born in Jasper, Texas, I grew up in Northern California. As an artist, I am mostly self-taught. I attended Modesto Junior College in my early 20's for a certificate in Graphic Design, and was recruited by E&J Gallo Winery, where I worked as a Mechanical Artist for their Creative Services Department. After several years, I moved on to become a Graphic Designer for California State University, Stanislaus, but ultimately, being on a computer all day wasn't ideal for me...so, at age 40, I pursued my other passion: animals. I went back to school and became a Veterinary Nurse, which was the most treacherous, and rewarding job I've ever had. Health issues have since forced me to retire from nursing, and turn my head and heart towards the art studio once more...and it's good to be home.

I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, watercolors, oils, colored pencils, graphite, plaster, stone, and whatever else drives my curiosity for the day. Each idea manifests in its own individual style, naturally. I normally do commission work, but I will have pieces up for sale soon!

Nature is my religion, and I have a love for beauty in all its forms, in general. I have always been drawn to animals, especially. I like to pull from my experiences as a woman, mother, animal nurse, and all-around dreamer to create my pieces. I tend to "tune in" and capture the subject's essence, making every piece unique.
